Unconditional Love

I was thinking of blogging from some time,by the way it was my new year resolution too:)

During my school days i had heard about this story on unconditional love which moved me. So I want to start my first blog with it. The story goes like this,

Golden Gift

Some time ago, a friend of mine punished his 3-year old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight, and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the tree.
Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy." He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found that the box was empty. He yelled at her, "Don't you know when you give someone a present, there's supposed to be something inside of it?"
The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said, "Oh, Daddy, it;s not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you, Daddy."
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and begged for forgiveness. My friend told me that he kept that old box by his bed for years. Whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

Whenever i read this story i always imagine myself in the place of that father. Whenever people around me do something good to me i fail to recognize that. For instance when my mom actually prepares breakfast and lunch i happen to complain that " This is the same thing that she prepared yesterday, Why cant she prepare something nice" I overlook the fact she has got up early in the morning to prepare it when i was happily sleeping. I do not get up that early even though i should, and the least i could do is not complain.

My father always tells me to join some classses like dancing, swimming or to learn some instruments but i always am like " Why is dad irritating me" I fail to realize that he is always worried about my all round development.

Many a times in this world there are people who love us unconditionaly but we ignore that and go behind material things. We crib about things we dont have. Its easy to tell all this but seriously difficult to follow:-)
